Staying motivated and keeping your morale up during times of change is hard enough, but in the last two weeks alone, I’ve noticed my clients, workshop attendees, and people I cross paths with are not exactly feeling hopeful about the future in the midst of the current political climate.

As an American living in the UK, I’ve found it very difficult to ignore everything that’s been happening back in the United States. I generally try to completely separate politics from my public posts. I always recommend my clients be selective about what they share on social media, but I myself have found it rather hard the past 10 days to “stay on message.” If you’re one of my long-time followers, you may have noticed my recent tweets and posts have drifted at times from being solely focused on career change and personal branding to suddenly mentioning climate change organizations, the Women’s March, and the news media, all topics I deeply care about.

At the start of each year, I’ve made it a bit of a tradition to share powerful ads I find especially relevant for the times with my followers. Most of the people I work with are going through some sort of major life or career transition, and I think brand relaunch campaigns can be a great point of reference and inspiration when you’re trying to relaunch your own personal brand.

Way back in January 2015, I shared ads that captured the idea of relaunching yourself with attitude during a time when I recall feeling optimistic for the world. This year, during a time when we’re all facing a lot of uncertainty, information overload, and fears about the future, I’ve decided to share three ads released in the last week that helped me pause, reflect, and remain hopeful. I hope they can help you do the same.
