One of the most important components of career management is building and maintaining your network. Especially during times of transition, I’ve found my professional network to be invaluable in terms of generating job leads, securing speaking opportunities, and coordinating useful partnerships. Anyone who has attended any of my career transition talks has heard me say that networking is the most effective job transition tactic, consistently being more fruitful than searching through job boards or sending CVs out to prospective employers.
